Gentle Yoga

This class is taught by:

Diana Dalton

Diana knows that yoga offers tools to live life to the fullest. Her mission is to share the art and science of yoga, so others can benefit from its healing, uplifting, and transformative power. She began teaching yoga in 2005 and is an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (E-YRT) and Continuing Education Provider (YACEP) with the Yoga Alliance. She holds certifications from Synergy Yoga, Skanda Yoga, and Gentle Therapeutics Yoga. She also holds a MA in Speech Communication, has enjoyed living on five continents, and makes it a point to keep getting on her mat and to laugh every day! She teaches gentle and slow-flow yoga classes at Inner Balance and is the lead teacher for the 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training.

Ziyan Xu

Ziyan (Z) Xu became a certified yoga teacher in 2014 after completing a 200- hour Yoga Teacher Training.  She has taught in Las Vegas, Shanghai, and now Miami. Z believes in the holistic approach to healing and is also certified in Reiki, Thai Massage and Tibetan Singing Bowl. Z is a firm believer that yoga is for everyone. No matter what background you come from, your active level, you can always find something in yoga that makes you feel good.  In her classes, Z combines asana (postures), pranayama (breathing) and dhyana (meditation) to help her students stay present in the moment. She likes to guide her students through modeling, verbal cues and hands-on adjustments to build that mind-body awareness. Even though she will sometimes challenge her students on the mat, Z keeps the classroom atmosphere light, supportive and fun. Whether you are a beginner, or a seasoned practioner, come and practice with her.

Whether you are new to yoga, working with an injury, or looking to explore yoga’s therapeutic side, this gentle class will refresh, relax and center you. Each class includes asana (postures) using props to support, pranayama (breath exercises) and meditation practiced in a loving environment with individualized instruction tailored to your needs. Increase vitality and reduce stress with this restorative class.
