Group Class Descriptions


Yoga Classes

Yoga Basics: A class for the beginner yogi.  You will be introduced to the principles of Vinyasa Yoga- the philosophy, the basic asanas (poses), pranayama (breath work), relaxation and meditation.  After completion of this series, you will be ready to take Vinyasa Flow Yoga Level 1.
 

Vinyasa Flow Yoga (Level 1): In this feel-good flowing yoga class, you'll practice sun salutations, work on the fundamental standing and seated poses, as well as learn some backbends and inversions.  Emphasis is placed on alignment and safety in all asanas. 
 

Vinyasa Flow Yoga (Level 1/2): An advanced beginner/intermediate level class.  Expect to flow between poses and be challenged.  Modifications and more challenging variations will be given for the asanas to address the different levels in class.
 

Vinyasa Flow Yoga (Level 2 and 3): Be prepared to sweat! A faster paced class with more challenging asanas, such as deeper backbends and arm balances. Some poses will be held for a longer duration. No beginners, please.
  

Candlelight Yoga: A deeply relaxing class to help you un-wind from the stresses of your day.  Enjoy a vigorous practice in a room lit soley by candlelight followed by a longer relaxation and meditation.
   

Slow Flow Yoga: A slower-paced Vinyasa Yoga class, where poses are held for a longer duration, with greater emphasis on form and alignment.

Happy Hour Yoga: A feel-good, restorative style class.  Ideal for beginners, those dealing with injuries or anyone who needs to distress and unwind!

Gentle Yoga: Whether you are new to yoga, pregnant, working with an injury, healing from illness or looking to explore yoga’s therapeutic side, this gentle class will refresh, relax and center you. Each class includes asana (postures) using props to support, pranayama (breath exercises) and meditation practiced in a loving environment with individualized instruction tailored to your needs. Increase vitality and reduce stress with this restorative class.


 

 

Barre and Pilates Classes

Inner Balance Barre: The perfect fusion of ballet barre, arm work with weight/bands, Pilates inspired abdominal and back work and yoga stretches.  Sculpt your body from head to toe with a mixture of dance moves, isometric and targeting barre exercises.  Socks with grips or studio shoes are suggested for class.
 

The Booty Barre: A sexy, energetic, fun workout that fuses fitness techniques from Dance, Pilates, and Yoga that will tone, define and chisel the whole body. You don’t even need any dance experience and you certainly don’t need a partner! The Booty Barre® method is the perfect combination of strength and flexibility with added cardio to burn fat fast. Booty Barre® was conceived and developed by celebrity fitness and lifestyle expert Tracey Mallett, a former professional dancer, fitness presenter and master Pilates Instructor.

Pilates/Barre Fusion: Half Barre and half Pilates- this is the ideal class for people who want to strengthen, align and define their whole body using traditional barre and ballet exercises while incorporating the precision, control and core-work of Pilates.


Pilates - Power Flow:
 The classical Pilates repertoire updated with contemporary variations and a dynamic flow. Challenge your body with this CORE focused workout designed to increase your strength, mobility and flexibility.

Pilates - Sculpt: A challenging and intense workout designed for those who love to feel the burn and break a sweat! Lift, sculpt and tighten your way to the ideal Pilates physique.The classical mat repertoire with a twist!

Pilates - Restore: Realign your body and work out the kinks in this restorative Pilates class. Props like the foam roller and small ball with leave you feeling rejuvenated and recharged!

Pilates Reformer Classes: Small group classes on the reformer designed to challenge and strengthen the body with added resistance from the springs.  A great complement to our mat classes.  3 people per class maximum so you will enjoy individual attention!
